February 25, 2020 – Total Access Communication Public Company Limited, or dtac, received the Global Warming Prevention Organization Award due to the company’s strategy in tackling global warming issues by providing new staff uniforms made from Cool Mode fabric. The award ceremony took place at the “Global Warming Prevention Organization by CoolMode Fabric” seminar organized by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization), or TGO, and Thailand Textile Institute. The event aimed at honoring organizations that use CoolMode fabric as either their staff uniforms or attire for occasional activities. Using CoolMode fabric makes this environmentally friendly material become more widespread and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Thailand.
dtac uses CoolMode fabric for the staff uniform at all dtac service centers in Thailand. The total number of uniforms in this collection is 8,020. 12,814 yards of fabric was used in the production. Using CoolMode cloth not only saves electricity but also makes anyone wearing it feel fresh. Therefore, air conditioners can be set at around 26-27 degree Celsius instead of 25 degree Celsius as usual. This 1 degree Celsius difference saves up to 10 percent of the electricity bill and reduces greenhouse gas emissions.
Designed by the famous fashion designer Polpat Asavaprapha, or ‘Moo Asava,’ the use of CoolMode fabric greatly reflects the brand characteristic, which is giving importance to customers and being ready to take care of them with friendly and honest service.
This exclusive uniform collection was designed to be stylish. The design also gives a sense of liveliness, approachability, and fun. The core element of this uniform is the fabric selection; all pieces of clothes made by CoolMode innovation. To support this innovation, TGO launched the CoolMode label to guarantee the quality of sweat absorbing and heat releasing, giving freshness when worn. As a result of feeling fresh, the fabric reduces the need of air conditioner and electricity usage, and lower carbon emissions consequently. The CoolMode label is a collaboration between TGO and the Thailand Textile Institute. The purpose is to provide more options for consumers. The label acknowledges consumers and allows them to choose a material that can help the environment. At the same time, its purpose is also to support producers and the textile industry in Thailand that share concerns in global warming.
