Anywheel was founded by its current CEO, Htay Aung. The company has been offering bike share services for more than three years in Singapore, Malaysia, and most recently in Thailand. Its goal is to provide a fun, affordable, and environmentally-friendly transport alternative. To do this, Anywheel works with both public and private entities – with no investment required – to install bike docking stations, equipped with bikes that are durable and easy-to-use.
dtac Business supported Anywheel from prototype development, testing, through shipment of the first 1,000 IoT SIMs for installation onsite. dtac Business IoT SIMs enable accurate vehicle fleet management with real-time positioning of all bicycles. The accrued data on vehicle usage can contribute to developing a seamless public mobility network befitting Chiang Mai’s smart city ambitions.

Anywheel also plans to develop their app to even better suit urban needs with electric scooter services which are would better serve longer journeys for Thai users. Currently, the electric scooters are only available in Singapore and Malaysia.

We foresee more IoT-equipped bicycles, electric scooters or even gardening tools that can be made available for hire.
