dtac submits letter of intent to the NBTC for the extension of the 900MHz licence payment terms

May 10, 2019 – dtac has submitted an expression of interest to the NBTC to exercise its right to a 900 MHz license payment extension as per the relief measure enacted under Section 44 that allows operators more time to pay for their 900-MHz licenses. Regarding the upcoming 700-MHz license allocation, dtac recommends the spectrum allocation should be delayed until NBTC can publish a clear spectrum roadmap, before discussing any further auctions. However, dtac will study the terms and conditions from the information memorandum (IM) expected to be announced by the NBTC in May. dtac to collaborate with Chulalongkorn University in 5G testing to identify sustainable use cases

February 4, 2019 – dtac presented the 5G use cases it will test and prototype at the 5G IoT & AI Innovation Center in collaboration with The Office of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) and Chulalongkorn University. The goal is to study the characteristics and features of 5G services and to test prototypes on specific use cases. dtac and CAT sign dispute settlement agreement

January 10, 2019 - Total Access Communication PLC or dtac, and CAT Telecom Public Company Limited or CAT, today announced an agreement to settle most of the existing disputes and all potential claims relating to the concession agreement for a total amount of 9.51 billion baht. The Disputes Settlement Agreement between dtac and CAT marks an important milestone in the long standing relationship between the two entities. This now enables a fresh start of a new infrastructure partnership. This will also significantly reduce current uncertainty relating to arbitration awards and court verdicts. The agreement does not cover the dispute over the revenue sharing with regards to excise tax and the disputes over the revenue sharing with regards to interconnection charges. dtac and Telenor first telco to launch digital solution with Google for Android users to ease data top-up

January 7, 2019 -  dtac and Telenor Group is working closely with Google to make it easier for dtac and Telenor’s subscribers to manage their mobile data usage and price plans. Through the new Mobile Data Plan functionality in Android, dtac and Telenor subscribers can manage their mobile data plans and receive relevant alerts when the user experience may be impacted by for instance low data balance. dtac TriNet receives 900 MHz and 1800 MHz licenses

December 18, 2018 – Today, dtac TriNet received spectrum licenses for the 900 MHz and 1800 MHz bands from the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC). dtac had won the licenses for 1800 MHz and 900 MHz in auctions held by the NBTC in August and October, respectively. dtac now holds a complete spectrum portfolio including both low-band and high-band frequencies, forming a total of 110 MHz bandwidth with 70 MHz used for downlink. This is a great day for dtac’s customers. dtac now has the most download capacity per customer in the market, which can match their needs for a high-speed internet experience, be it watching high-definition video or browsing the web.
