dtac and 3BB enter into strategic partnership, marking historic synergy in Thai telecoms

The two internet providers join forces to foster customer services by leveraging mobile and fixed broadband for seamless connectivity December 3, 2019 - Total Access Communications Plc, or dtac through dtac Trinet and Triple T Broadband Plc, today announced their strategic collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding on Business Cooperation Framework to maximize customer services and infrastructure sharing nationwide. The strategic collaboration will enhance both providers’ services, leading to additional revenue. The move is also aimed at maintaining existing subscribers and widening their subscriber base with more extensive services, benefiting both consumers and the telecom industry. Presently, dtac has a total number of subscribers of 20.4 million with more than 400 customer service points. dtac and Ericsson sign partnership for advanced network operations

October 29, 2019 Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) and dtac (SET: DTAC) signed a partnership agreement today to launch an advanced, customer-centric network operations model starting from January 2020. Ericsson will be managing dtac’s  network operations across the country with the Ericsson Operations Engine while dtac retains the network’s strategic planning and the ownership of its assets. The Ericsson Operations Engine, a data-driven approach powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI), will enable dtac to ensure next-generation connectivity and allow its customers to benefit from secure and reliable network performance as well as a constantly-improving user experience. This agreement involves the transfer of around 400 experienced professionals to Ericsson, who will continue to perform their current responsibilities to ensure a seamless transition. dtac launches Thailand’s first electric vehicle connectivity platform to help reduce air pollution

30 January 2019 – dtac is expanding its core business by launching a full-service platform for electric scooters and motorcycles. Building on dtac’s mobile connectivity, the service will allow electric two-wheelers to benefit from a network of charging stations and services. Not only are the electric vehicles more convenient, they offer a substantial benefit in reducing air pollution. dtac and Telenor first telco to launch digital solution with Google for Android users to ease data top-up

January 7, 2019 -  dtac and Telenor Group is working closely with Google to make it easier for dtac and Telenor’s subscribers to manage their mobile data usage and price plans. Through the new Mobile Data Plan functionality in Android, dtac and Telenor subscribers can manage their mobile data plans and receive relevant alerts when the user experience may be impacted by for instance low data balance. More and more time is spent using Internet on mobile devices.
